We started cranialsacral therapy with Abby when she was 7 weeks old

for 2 reasons: a huge bump from being vacuumed and a very weak suck

when nursing. Our lactation specialist is actually the one who

referred us. Her bump has gone down significantly (but surgeon says

it will still likely have to be filed down) and her nursing time has

been cut in half. I thought the cranial sacral thing was real

hokey the first time we went, but I'll try just about anything to

help my daughter out. I've been floored with the results and am now a

total believer in it!

We're supposed to have our final session on Tuesday, but I'm hoping

that he'll keep seeing us now that we have a whole new set of reasons

to see him (plagio/tort diagnosis). At our last session, I told him

that I believed Abby had torticollis. After he finally figured out

what I was talking about, he totally agreed. I'd been pronouncing

it " tor-TICKLE-iss " . Well, that's the way it looks. Anyway, he worked

on her neck for just a minute and it loosened her right up. For

awhile at least, her neck rested in a position that it never does. I

wish we could go see him everyday!

Just wanted to add my 2cents. If there is a doctor in your area that

does this therapy, use him/her! It is so worth your child's time. And

as an added bonus, it puts them right to sleep. Abby has fallen into

a deep sleep each time right in the doctors hands!

Christy (mom to Abby ~ now 3 months and 10 days old!)
