Kate:

Not every baby with right or left plagio has or had torticollis. My

daughter's right plagio was severe, so severe that every time she

laid down, her head would simply roll back over to the right flat

side. People compare the flat head to a deflated ball, that if you

lay a deflated ball on the ground, it will immediately roll on to

it's flat side.

My daughter's plagio began in utero. At her 2 wk chk up our ped.

noticed her plagio immediately (GREAT ped I have!). He evaluated her

for tort., didn't think she had it but referred us to PT to be sure.

The therapist didn't feel Abby had tort either, but did send us home

with stretching exercise. Abby did have full ROM, but simply

couldn't keep off her flat side to sleep.

This sounds similar to your Paige's plagio.

Hope this helps :)
