Guest guest
I was also told and read that the risks are higher because my sons are twins and are considered preemies, etc. My feeling is the reason that 's is more severe than Winn's is because was stuck in my pelvic area for the entire pregnancy. He did not move once, where as Winn moved around all the time. Both boys have been diagnosed with Positional Plagiocephaly and Torticollis. I do have a question. I do the neck exercises 5 times minimum a day. Other parents have mentioned having PT. Have I missed something and did not ask the right questions. My boys don't go to PT. Should they be going for PT? Thank you. Bonnie (mom to , Winn & Lilly)

Bonnie, Although we went to a pt 2x a week and she was able to show me alternative types of therapy (craniosacral in particular- kind of a relaxation technique), the majority of stretches were done by us, Mom and Dad, every day. We were only with the pt for 1/2 hour sessions, so she really didn't make or break our therapy. As long as you are doing them correctly, everyday, and seeing improvment, you will be the best physical therapist your child can find! Keep up the great work! Ours, doesn't Stacey, Please print that article and send it to your Doctor- you will be doing future patients a huge favor to educate this Doctor on the correlation between tort and plagio. Guest guest
Bonnie, Your twins sound like my twins. Sara was stuck in my pelvic region and never moved, and it felt like Sam was doing back flips, although the sonograms showed that he was not moving as much as I thought. His head was always under my rib cage - it was his feet that were busy with World Cup soccer! We never went to PT either - we just did the stretches 5 times a day. Sam and Sara's tort is pretty much resolved, although Sam gets a slight tilt when he is too tired. You could always ask, but if you are noticing a difference in their tort, then you are probably doing enough. Gail, Sam and Sara's mom, DOC grads Re: Re: Torticollis and Related Issues I was also told and read that the risks are higher because my sons are twins and are considered preemies, etc. My feeling is the reason that 's is more severe than Winn's is because was stuck in my pelvic area for the entire pregnancy.
