Guest guest
My daughter will be 7 months old at the end of this month. She doesn't crawl yet. I was doing some reading about how head and neck strength are keys to learning how. That got me wondering if the problems with her head and neck are delaying her learning to crawl. Do any of you have late crawlers? Any doctors ever mention this possibility as a "side effect"? Thanks, Kerri ('s Mommy, Chicago)
Guest guest
Kerri, I wouldn't worry about your daughter not crawling....she's not even 7 mo yet. My son started to crawl at 8.5 mo...now he's 10 mo old...a speed crawler and is pulling himself up and starting to cruise. Crawling is not even listed as a developmental milestone since some babies. Hope this helps! Dana (mom2) > My daughter will be 7 months old at the end of this month. She doesn't crawl > yet. Guest guest
Hello! My name's and I'm one of the older members of the group. My 2 1/2 year-old daughter did not have tort, but due to the fact she was on her back most of the time, she did not enjoy being on her tummy and did not crawl until 13 months. She was also late in walking, starting to take her first steps by herself when she was almost 19 months. I was also very concerned about the delays, and her ped said as long as was continuing to progress, even at a slower rate, she didn't think it was a problem. However, the ped did double check 's hips and spine to make sure there were no abnormalities that could be keeping from progressing. seems to be all caught up now, as compared to the other 2-year olds in the neighborhood. Just thought hearing from someone with an older plagio baby might help ease your mind! Sincerely, in Omaha, NE > My daughter will be 7 months old at the end of this month. She doesn't crawl > yet.
