Guest guest
Hi, I pulled out another oldie this morning - Balance, Line & Strength with Clare Dunphy (who lead the Body Bar Ripple workout I did on Tuesday). This one is also part of the " Body Bar " collection. I forgot how much I enjoyed it and had a great, alternative style workout this morning. This one, like Ripple, is focused on " functional " training - balance, coordination, rotation, etc. Unlike Ripple, however, this one is more Pilates focused. Clare has two background exercisers with her who show some modifications (such as a push-up on the knees, modified planks, etc.) This one could be hard for someone with wrist issues as there are many planks, one-armed planks and other such moves which can stress the wrist/hand. I used a 9 lb bar, which is what Clare used. For some moves I probably could have gone heavier, but this worked well. I really want to look into getting more of these Body Bar workouts! I think some have been released to DVD. I may check over at the exchanges to see if anyone has any VHS they don't want anymore. Today is our settlement, hopefully it won't be stressful. At least I have teh day off from work. Wish we were going to settlement on our current home! My ear is still bothering me - grrr.. I'm taking some decongestants to see if that helps - it is like the whole right side of my face feels huge. UGH! take care, Donna __________________________________________________
