Timmy got his DOCband yesterday

Hi everyone! Timmy got his DOC band yesterday and so far he is doing really well with it. It seems (to me) to be snug, but Lynn at CT said it was a really good fit. He only gets a few pink spots and they fade pretty quickly. Yesterday he only fussed for the car ride home (about an hour) and then he was fine with it. I didn't have him sleep in it last night because I wasn't 100% sure about his skin. But tonight he is sleeping in it, and so far so good.

I took him out today and got lots of stares, but I was ready for it. We went to Gymboree for my older son. I actually thought that the ladies there would be the best because they really aren't strangers. Many of them I've seen once a week since September. They've seen Timmy since he was two weeks old! Well, of all the places we went today, some of the ladies there were the worst! Staring and talking about him as if I couldn't hear. But a couple were very nice and curious about his band and it was no big deal with them. Then we went to a store and to Mc's. Again, some staring, but nothing I couldn't handle.

So, all in all, a great first full day with the band. I'm being very diligent about checking his head and cleaning off the sweat. I'm really hoping it continues to go this well.
