Our son was 19 months when fitted with his DOC BAnd. He has worn it

8 weeks now, and we are seeing improvement in both his forehead and

his flat spot (right rear). He was diagnosed with " mild to moderate "

case. We may be paying out of pocket, too, so I know what that

decision is like, not knowing if it will help at all. We took the

chance and have been pleased with the progress. Good luck to you.

That's great to hear that the band is working for an older child. If

my triplets were born full term they would be around 19 months old.

They were almost 3 months early. Did you son still have a soft spot?

Lora:

My daughter began her DOC treatment at 11.5 mos of age with 50-60%

correction in 4.5 mos time. You did say your daughter's soft spot is

still open, so there would be a chance of improvemen still, although

I would say it would be minimal improvment. But, she was also 3 mos

premature so she could be hitting a couple growth spurts yet. The

decision I'm sure is difficult, have you talked with Cranial

Technologies or a specialist yet for their opinions?
