Guest guest
Has anyone tried craniofacial adjustments by a chiropractor? I just started with a new chiro for myself and he is very sure that he can help with adjusting his head. Since this chiro is new to me, I'm not comfortable with him working on his head but I was wondering if anyone heard of this or tried this. My aunt asked her chiro and he also insists that he can correct 's head through cranial adjustments. If was younger, I'd probably give it a try but being 8.5 months, I feel my time is limited to correct this and don't want to wait any longer for the DOC band. I'm also afraid to have him adjusted in conjunction with the band for fear that it could really mess up the effectiveness of the band. ann/ NJ
Guest guest
I didn't do chiropractic adjustment with my son but I did do some alternative therapies with him in addition to the DOCband. He saw a craniosacral therapist once a month from 7 months until 12 months. And starting at 9 months monthly (right before he started DOCband treatment) he started seeing an osteopath who specializes in cranial manipulation and he still sees this physician although after his next appt. it will be once every six months. I think the adjustments he made as well as the craniosacral therapy assisted the band in doing its job. I never had any problems with pressure spots or ill-fitting helmet after adjustments at the osteopath. I did see improvement with his facial asymmetry after several of his visits with the osteopath which I don't know if it was from him or growth spurts but any progress from any area is good. I'm happy I went with the works on . You can find an osteopath by going to the Cranial Academy website. I think they want $5.00 to send you a list or you can look under osteopaths in your phone book. I found mine through a friend of a friend who took their daughter to him for plagiocephaly. Candy, mom to (DOCband grad 6/3/02) land > Has anyone tried craniofacial adjustments by a chiropractor?
