Guest guest
- I worked at a credit card bank (MBNA). I collected, worked in Personnel, Customer Satisfaction and managed in C/S and Collections. You need to work an obscene amt of hours and a lot of that is face time. I can't tell you how many times I was told to stick around a couple more hours because someone might be walking past my desk! I hit my goals every month and got superior reviews. I didn't like the idea of sticking around when I was done. My time is too precious for that! UHC does have a large network here too. Several hospitals have recently dropped them because they are very late in paying. The people who answer the phones there are lacking proper education on their policies. They have no idea what is going on. My friend says their job is just to get you off the phone. I think she is right. Dane's mom DOC Grad > > , > We have a little bit in common! Before I had Grant, I was in banking. I was a commercial loan officer for an area bank (it is about a $750 million dollar bank). I really enjoyed it. Before being a commercial loan officer, I also worked as a loan processor (commercial, consumer, mortgage, commercial mortgage), loan review anaylst, in compliance, and as a commercial credit analyst. Were you in commercial, consumer, retail banking? > Also, I have been meaning to mention this to everyone. When I worked in banking, I always had United Healthcare. I LOVED it?! Of course, I didn't have a child then and wasn't dealing with this stuff...but, when I was pregnant, they paid for everything (had dozens of ultrasounds, home healthcare for a few months due to preeclampsia...that was $35/day, had fetal non-stress tests weekly for last 7 weeks, etc.). Also, before I was pregnant with Grant, I had hospitalizations, etc. because of complications from miscarriage. They even paid for some fertility testing (after I called to request someone explain to me why they wouldn't cover it, as my fertility problems were subsequently due to scar tissue from surgeries). It took one phone call and they called my HR person back that same day and agreed to pay for it all. I'm wondering if it matters who your local rep is and their affiliation with the company...and of course it matters what kind of policy the company and UHC have negotiated. I just remember LOVING that policy! It was a PPO and our doc visits were $10, we had a huge network, could see any specialist in network anytime, and it cost me $10 total for the c-section delivery of my son. Also, the rx prices were great and they covered birth control. One last thing, when I was pregnant, they called me every few weeks (I think it was once a month) to ask me about the pregnancy (it was a nurse) and if I had any concerns, questions, etc. It was a real help. I don't understand why they are so pathetic on the DOC band???!!! > > > > , Mom to Grant (born 9/26/01) > > > --------------------------------- >
