Becky,

He is just a doll. He looks like a little angel in the sleeping picture! I

can see the brachy, but I would say maybe mild to slightly moderate.

Definitely not severe in my opinion.

Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Hey Becky he is too precious for words-you know what is deceiving is all that

hair back there. He looks moderate to me -- does he have any other effects

bossed forehead or ear asymmetry. Take a pictueof him with a wet head from

the back and top again. I use that mini boppy too when is in that

exact same bouncy seat-it is also good to use for tummy time to get them

started resting on that at their chest. I know this is quite an overwhelming

and scary time- I cried for days when we went through this with and

kept myself up many sleepless nights. It will work out I promise. is at

such a wonderful age you have a great advantage. So keep up the great mommy

work!

Becky,

Hi and welcome to the group! I would say that it looks like maybe moderate

brachy (flat back across). With only just turning 3 months, you can

try to agressively reposition for a month to see if any improvement starts

taking shape. I would start by taking photos at all angles at the start of

your repositioning, and compare those with weekly photos (best in the bath

with wet hair, and from the top like you have). Try to limit time spent on

the back of the head at all costs, in bouncers, swings, etc., and push tummy

time as much as possible. You can also put a rolled up towel at the base of

the neck in the swing and it should lift the head off of the back of the

swing. We started this process around the same time you are- but my son was

dx with torticollis- which complicates things further, so hopefully you'll

have better luck at repositioning- but many have not. We were told to

agressively reposition for a month, and a week shy of his 5 months, he was in

the DOC band as the repositioning did not work for us (again, don't give up

hope there, for many it has proven successful). I think the key is to know

when to say when in terms of giving up on the repositioning- only because the

window of greatest correction is I think from 5-8 months, but that's not to

say that even later you don't get correction- many have gotten great

correction after that, but of course, the earlier the better. I think

severity also plays an important role. Keep on top of it and keep us posted!

Good luck!
