Aroma. Hi everybody, I just wanted to let you know I am having the best time dreaming up home fragrancing ideas. I picked up pine cones in Rockport MA, my brother has sent me pine cones from North Carolina and Virginia. I have been pouring Patchouli on some of them and closing them up for a couple weeks. When I open the box I am in heaven such a wonderful wooody, rooty, leafy, earthy crisp fragrance. Fills a room I did the blend of the CO2 with the distilled oil. Yummmmmmmm. We don't have fragrant pine cones in Miami, barely pine cones at all, so you should be thankful you live where such a fragrant material is available. patchouli and pine seems like a perfect match. You are right I am lucky. And this is the time to harvest them. They are falling everywhere. I think I will also try with other wonderful base notes like vetiver, cedarwood as well as spices to try. So fragrant and wonderful to give as gifts. Dorothy

My boyfriend took the tree into his wood shop and took the electric saw to it. Pieces and sawdust and pine fronds ....great stuff. It lasted quite a while. I also took essential oils and refreshed it later. Nice idea using natural materials........
