Gail~

That is so great. I bet in the next issue of their little book they delete that section!

The part about this whole thing that irritates me is how these insurance companies call it a cosmetic issue? As if we want these perfect little Vogue model babies or something? Plus I swear if I hear one more person tell me a story about how it will "all just round out" making me feel like we put Grace through the helmet just for fun I will SCREAM :) Sorry I had to have a little freak out there

First of all I want to congratulate Trisha on her appeal. She let me look at it and she did a great job, especially with what the morons at Cigna gave her to work with. Go Trisha Go!!!

We have also just about finished our appeal (level 2), and as we were fine tuning it tonight, I stumbled across something interesting. When I was first pregnant with Sam and Sara, Cigna kindly sent me a book titled "From Here to Maternity". Inside the front cover is a note which reads, "we hope you find this book a helpful guide throughout your pregnancy". On page 226 of the book it says "Put your baby to sleep on his back. Even the side position carries a risk for SIDS." So there it is in black and white - Cigna's own instructions contributed to Sam and Sara's plagio, and now they are refusing to pay for their treatment.

My husband has already written a fantastic appeal letter, but we added this little tidbit just for our own enjoyment. If any of you other Cigna crusaders got this book during your pregnancy, it might be just as fun for you to include it in your appeal letters!

Just had to share (hehehe)...
