Guest guest
My name is Bella and I am from Tel Aviv in Israel. English is not my mother tongue, so I apologize in advance for my mistakes. I have subscribed to the group several weeks ago, but decided to read ALL the posts before introducing myself. I am not sure if I will be of a great contribution to the group as my " knowledge " is mainly theoretical for the moment, and after reading and understanding that there are some problems in natural perfumery (such as fixation, consistency of odor etc...), I am not sure what interest me now the most: blending perfumes or the essences themselves (my background in biochemistry from long ago is " showing its nose " ). Anyhow, I have a little something (I hope) for the French readers of the group. There is an online book on perfumes by Marius Otto at: http://visualiseur.bnf.fr/Visualiseur?Destination=Gallica & O=NUMM-91888 (click on refresh if you dont see). At this site http://gallica.bnf.fr/ you can also find Piesse in French (click on " Recherche " ) and one or two more little old books on perfumes, and of course the Otto's book. It has been a very long introduction so I will leave the questions for another time. Regards to all Bella
