Guest guest
Sofia is 7 1/2 months old. She just went for her first adjustment today and we are now on a bi-weekly schedule. Her band now has Winnie the Pooh, flowers and ladybugs. I just purchased quite a few stickers from a scrapbooking store and will change them every so often. I know that a lot of the parents out their children's names on their bands, but I chose not to. Mainly for safety reason as I do not like personalized items for children's clothing. Guest guest
I paint my son's DOCBand myself. It only lasts about 3 weeks (well, that's when I start getting sick of it), so it's cheaper and easier to do it myself. I use acrylic craft paint from 's. I think they're on sale this week 3 for $1. I tape the velcro strap with painters tape and just carefully paint with a sponge brush. It takes several coats to achieve the correct color. Then I put stickers on, and then I use a couple coats of mod podge (also at 's) as a top coat. When I'm ready to repaint it, I just peel off the paint, clean the outside really good with alcohol and paint again. I just reread the instructions Cranial Tech gave me for painting and it said not to sand the plastic, as it could break down the strength of the plastic and reduce the pressure points. I've posted several pictures of my son in his different paint jobs under Our Plagio Babies J/Jake W. if you want to take a look. Also, I paint it all at one time. I use an oscillating fan to dry between coats and the whole process takes about an hour and half. So I cut his break time to 30-45 minutes the day before and after to make up for the extra time off. I tried doing it a little at a time the first time, but until you get a top coat on it, the paint peels really easily, and it was just a mess. Hope that helps! Guest guest
I know this will not help your son's helmet, but for those with girls I put a small piece of velcro on her helmet and then made lots of bows and change out her bow with her outfit, super cute and your little girl can still wear her bows!! Kim DD with left tort, banded for six weeks. > > We are looking for advice on how to get our son's band decorated. Did you do it yourself, or have someone do it for you?
