Hey Kerry a little stretching never hurt and massage is good to- try these links. Maybe his little head is just tired from holding up that heavy band or maybe it is titling because he keeps pulling at the velcro:-) either way try these and good luck!

Kerry,

I have heard that some kids with tort DO have full range of motion, but still tilt- so this could be the case with Dylan- have you only recently noticed this tilt- or has this been ongoing? You say that he tilts left, but has left plagio. This confuses me, because left tort might mean right plagio since they favor one side, but since your child has full rotation, this may be different. It wouldn't hurt to try a few exercises tilting the opposite way, to stretch out the muscle. I'll attach the link and if you feel it would help, and not hurt, try them and see if it helps. But, I would also address your concerns with a specialist that has dealt with tort to figure this out fully if it persists. Good luck- and check out www.torticolliskids for more tips on what is going on here.

Kerry,

Your too funny! I know I squished mine (or did he squish me!)- good luck with the exercises- let us know how Dylan's doing with it!

Thanks .

Dylan always looked to the left and it was the left side that went flat, and

the left ear that went forward and the bossing is on the left. I think he

has always tilted to the left. Its just become more noticiable. I will do

the stretches anything to help. It all makes me wonder as my first son

marcus always looked to the right and he had to have some p.t from 3months

old. Which i also had to do at home. I think i must squash my babies in my

womb!! I suppose i was lucky with Marcus that it didn't develop into plagio

(he must have had a harder head)lol!!

Much appreciated for your response cindy and i will keep close supervision

on it and if i am not happy i will go to my Doctor.

I will keep you informed as to how we get on.

Hi cindy

Yeah i know!! He actually still prefers to crawl but at least we are getting

there i must admit some relief that he is actually taking steps as i was

starting to get a little worried with him turning 17 months this coming

Sunday which is also my 7 year wedding anniversary.

So i am very pleased. Also my eldest Marcus who will be 4 in september came

and woke us up last night to tell us he had been to the toilet and could we

put his diaper back on.!! Bless him!! So it looks like i will be able to get

rid of the diapers at night for him. He has been dry in the day for ages. He

feels very grown up.

Take care

Hi Beck

Yes i was so pleased. I did try pull ups but Marcus was wet through every

morning he obviously wee wee alot, but most mornings the diaper is dry i may

just let him wear underpants and see how he does. I have got a mattress

protector so that should save the mattress if needed. I Will let you know

how he does.
