Well, after waiting a month to get Dakota's STAR band, and after

having it only since Wed we have to take it back. At first I noticed

it was shifting a lot, but today it did a lot! Maybe I am putting it

on wrong? The guy who fitted him didn't seem to like the fit Dakota

was throwing, so he sort of rushed us out of there. If only I knew

that I needed more info! He did tell me I needed to postion it with

one side touching the front of one ear, and the other side touching

the other... That's fine, but it keeps shifting to where it's

covering his ear! Not only that I folds it back, and then covers it!

Maybe this is normal? Anyone have any suggestions?

Also, I forgot to mention that his tort is SO much better! Now if

only I could rember who gave us all the great info, and streaching

ideas? You are a life saver! WE still streach everyday, and he even

looks in the right (to his left) direction to go to sleep!

Amie,

The band covering the ear does not sound normal to me- I would go and have

that checked out asap. This time grab the guy and don't let him leave until

he gives you good time to get your questions in! So glad that the tort is

getting much better- keep up the great work everyday and soon your little one

will be tort free!!! keep us posted!

Hi Amie,

I'm late getting to this post so I'm sure everyone has already said that it

sounds like the helmet needs some more time and attention from the ortho. It

should be slightly loose, but it shouldn't be smooshing and then covering the

ear! Definitely get back in to the ortho and insist that he takes his time

with you!
