Debbie,

I just adore Abby! She has got to be one of the funniest kids

ever!! She has the right idea about the potty, just the wrong

person! Thanks so much for sharing that pic, it totally cracked me

up!

Debbie send her to see me down here and I'll have her trained in a

day too. If she knows about the doll and shes that smart dont let her

fool you into thinking shes not ready. I believe in early toilet

training because it can be done and I hate big kids in big diepers.

Mine both wore underwear at 18 mths in the day. Using the bathroom is

alot nicer for mom too.

Good Luck,

Lorraine.

Lorraine-

Can I send you my daughter too? Maybe Debbie and I can carpool.

Olivia will be 3 in October and she is in need of potty boot camp.

She has gone on the potty by herself, even going upstairs and

bringing her potty down. It's a complete control issue with her.

She was having a lot of success a month ago and now nothing!

My mom's friend used the book " Toilet Training in Less Than A Day. "

We are going to give that a shot. I am keeping my fingers crossed

as she will start preschool in Sept, unless this stubborness

continues.

,

If it makes you feel any better, Patch was close to 3 and a half when

he was finally potty trained! My oldest was 3. It might seem late

to most people, or that they were big kids in big diapers, but I

wasn't about to force them to do something they weren't ready for

yet. Do you let Olivia go bottomless? I had the most success by

doing that. I think they can feel the urge to go more that way.

Good luck ! You still have all summer, I'm sure will be

going to preschool in September!

Niki-

I'm not worried about it. I could care less, except that I really

want her to start school in Sept. If she's not pt, then she can

wait until January. I

f it wasn't for school. I would let her initiate it. It is much

easier to change a diaper than to find a clean restroom when you are

out of the house! I have tried cloth diapers, underwear, going

naked (which left me with quite a few souvenir stains) and bribery.

She has had a few days with complete success, but nothing that ever

lasts.

I was 3 when I was pt. My mom said I was too busy to be bothered.

Actually I guess you could say that I was 9 when I was completely

pt. I had to have surgery to correct VUR (kidney reflux) that

caused me problems every night until I had surgery. So, it's safe to

say that I don't worry about big kids in big diapers! I just want

her (clean) bootie in school in the fall!
