good morning all, today was a netflix workout. since trying her strength express workout, i have been eyeballing this one.its from the same series as keli's step it strong(2300) so it has the same background. this is a full body strength workout using a sorts of equipment like stability balls, step,bosu, medicine ball, weights, and tubing. mindy, joined by 2 other gals, go through a series of functional type exercises. everybody does the similar exercise with differnt equipment. mindy used the bosu, another used the step, while the other girl didn't use anything to stand. and the same time mindy used the medicine ball, another used weights, another used tubing. it makes for a different workout if you have all the stuff to rotate with. the first half of the workout is a standing workout there you will be using the step. its mostly lower body doing slow reps then fast reps for a cardio effect. of

course i had to put the medicine ball down during fast reps. towards the end she adds some upper body work doing overhead presses, back rows, and biceps. she adds some lower body lifts with these upper body moves, so if you use a bosu you get one heck of a balance challenge as well. for me, i don't own one, so it was all step for me. also during this section she uses paper plates to bring the legs in and out into plies. i had to do this one at a time b/c i just couldn't keep the balance. and it looks like i need a little strength work with the inner thighs and hips. the second half is floor work doing abs with everyone showing something different, some side leg lifts, glute tucks, and push-ups. and just like strength express, she does most of the push-ups either with both hands on the medicine ball AND a few sets using paper plates. i still can't really do the foward and back but in this video she shows you can use one arm at a time, and

that worked really well for me. for cool down and stretch she does yoga balance poses to lengthing out, not really much stretching at the end. as she mentions, she is not a yoga gal, but it turned out pretty good. even though she took a few breaks to stretch inbetween some of the exercises, i felt there should have been more of a stretch at the end. especially more for the legs b/c the first half is really tough on the legs. this was on my wishlist and it can stay there. its so different from other workouts, and even though similiar to strength express, its still quite different from that. A- workout for sure. can't wait until xmas when i can give this wishlist to dh. i am sure i would have tried most of the workouts by then. have a great day all kassia __________________________________________________
