Anyone else having a hard time recovering from Easter--with food I mean?

I started off okay most of Monday, but it was all downhill from there.

It seems like each night this week I found a reason to eat something

I shouldn't have. Not a good reason, but a reason. Ugh.

On the upside, I didn't eat any Easter candy. All that junk food that

the Easter bunny brought (a.k.a. my MIL) went right to my son.

But at least I exercised this week.

Hopefully next week will be better.

Hi , I'm having some trouble, too. We didn't have

any candy around - but I did bake chocolate chip

cookies for the Easter Bunny (my daughter's favorite)

and although I was good all week without eating them,

I did eat 4 last night in a fit of stress. I recently

re-discovered sorbet and that is working nicely as a

substitute for the ice cream I'd like to eat every

night. For some reason, I can stop at just a few

spoonfuls of the sorbet, whereas with ice cream, I'm

not sure I'd be able to stop until it was gone. That

is m y biggest vice, I think. I actually don't crave

chocolate, cake or cookies as much. I do love Pizza

thugh, but don't always consider it junk food if I'm

having it as a meal.

Hang in there, you'll get better you're always so on

track!!!

hi paul!

i hear ya! but i struggle with food all of the time, not just after

easter....LOL

yesterday i ate one tiny little caramilk bunny chocolate and felt

guilty all night long ::sigh::

hang in there! at the least, you have recognized that you are off

of your eating plan... that is the first step in getting your act

back together again. start by making a substitute for this nightly

treat... something that you like but is lower in cals/fat and keep

substituting until you have made it down to having something that is

completely healthy, or to having nothing at all. i find that i have

to wean myself off of the junk... if i go cold turkey then i feel

deprived.

ah well, like you said, tomorrow is another day to get back on track.

congrats on your workouts this week! good going!

:*carolyn.

,

I know what you mean. I've been munching on a bag of snack size Butterfingers all week. I've resolved not to buy another one when this one is empty. On the other hand, I've been dedicated to my exercise this week. I have had to though because it is my job...LOL. I taught Pilates on Monday, audited a Bands and Balls class on Tuesday, taught Senior Aerobics on Wednesday, actually got to use my gym on Thursday for a chest and back weight workout and 30 minutes on the treadmill, then audited two aqua aerobics classes today. Tomorrow I have school again, so I'll walk the stairs like I do every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. After that I'm cleaning our old house so I can turn in the keys and maybe get a workout in when I get home to the new house, but probably not. I'll finish the cleaning on Sunday and definitely get into my gym with my husband then so I can get him started on his routine. He had to go to the doctor today to get his blood pressure checked again to see how the medication is working. He received another lecture about his exercise habits, so he is finally asking me to help him with a program. Hopefully, he will stick with it, but who knows because he hasn't stuck with it in the past when I've given him a program. At least I'll get him to make sure the dvd is hooked up right so I can do videos next week...LOL. I can set up a gym, but I can't figure out how to properly wire up electronics!
