Guest guest
We got our starband 4 days ago and my son hates it soooo much. He never cries and now hes always crying. It seems to totally change his personality when he has it on. He doent babble as much or laugh and he is always smiling so this is unsual for him. Also he has bossing on the left forhead and when we put on the helmet his eye on that side gets kinda pushed down at the brow.I think its because as soon as he hears the velcro on the band he starts to cry. His face is scrunched up from crying, we tighten the band and it makes his brow line stay in a great big frown. Weve had it adjusted and trimmed a little and I dont think there is much more they can do. He absolutly will not sleep in it and Im not forcing him. Has anyone tried keeping them on for less time than 23 hours and still got good results. I hate this I dont know how were going to make it for at least 2 months. Please help! Guest guest
OH how frustrating-although not common there have been a few babies that have never adjusted and some that just took longer than others. I am sorry he is so miserable. Does he have any red spots? If it is scrunching his eye you may need another adjustment-so you might want to go back to the ortho. Also in regard to sleep-try putting it on him after he is asleep and see how he does. Maybe if he wakes up in it in the am he wont notice it as much? Just a thought. I don't have any great advice and I am sorry. I know this must be very hard for you as a mommy. Take it slow and try and get him used to it little by little. Let us know how you both do and keep your chin up! beck Mom to doc grad Memphis
