Hi My 7 month old son just his starband yesterday too. Wow are we in the same boat. I couldnt bare to make him wear it over night. He had a big red spot on the front part of his head and by morning it was gone. God I hate this. I know were doing the right thing but it sure is hard to watch you baby cry. I keep thinking he must be in pain because he never cries. I guess we should just take it one day at a time. Lots of love to you and your family. KIT

Hi! Just wanted you to know it DOES get better! My son is soooooo sensitive and got his DOCband a couple weeks ago. The first few days were rocky and we had to go back in for an adjustment, as he had a red spot that wouldn't fade well. I was paranoid of skin breakdown, he slept awfully, sweat tremendously, I started questioning the whole thing, etc., etc. But, I'm happy to say w/ one adjustment the bad red spot never came back and the past several days he's back to sleeping GREAT!!!! Also, he hardly sweats anymore under it and still hasn't developed stinky head. We've been using 's kids shampoo...the berry scented one (STRONG scent!) that is no more tears formula. His head smells like grape all of the time so far. Anyway, my son who is soo sensitive is adjusting WELL...just thought I'd share (oh...and I'm adjusting, too...I found it hard to believe others when they said they got to a point where they'd almost forget it was there and not notice the stares...I already am feeling that way!) ((((((((hugs)))))))))) , Mom to Grant (born 9/26/01) ...in DOCband since 6/14/02
