ann,

The band shouldn't be covering the eye or impairing the vision at all so if

it is low enough to almost cover the eye an adjustment might be necessary.

Also, if the red spots are of concern to you (and it sounds like they are)

you might try to get in for an adjustment.

ann,

I would go in and get it checked out. If you are afraid of forgetting exactly were these dark spots keep showing up (in case they fade before you go in) maybe put a dab of lipstick on his head where they are before they fade. Also, if the front is obstructing his eye, ask to have it trimmed a bit. It needs to hold the protruding forehead, but not to the point where it falls that low. Just keep pressing on. You really want to get him in the band overnight soon...because it may take a few nights of rough sleeping in it to get him used to sleeping in it. You don't want to train him that it always comes off for bedtime. The first few nights Grant slept in his band were full of wakings and clinginess, but I'm happy to report he's past that now. Also, we had to go in for an adjustment on day 3 before I had Grant sleeping in it all night. He had some dark spots that made me nervous. Also, I wanted it trimmed a bit above one of his ears. CT will work with you and get it right. You are doing great! Let us know how it goes.
