Guest guest
If there is an underdevelopment or deformity of the cartilage, the Plastic Surgeon is to be consulted for procedures to correct it. Further, the urologist is to be seen also, since ear deformity is associated with kidney deformity, as well as other deformities. If the cartilage gets struck or traumatized and a blood clot or hematoma forms between the skin and cartilage, it is necessary to drain the blood out from time to time. Repeated acts of trauma without treatment will result in deformed or "cauliflower ears".
