Guest guest
Because I love the scent and because chai tea is so popular now, I suggest: Chai Tea Cardamom & Clove Cardamom has been used in Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine for 3,000 years. Clove is used in Tibetan remedies for stress relief. Together they are comforting and revitalizing. Good luck! Cheryl
Guest guest
Sara, I don't know about aromatherapy per se, but I've heard that if you bake bread or an apple pie or something before a showing, it helps sell the house. Guest guest
Sara, I have used cider spices (cinnamon sticks, clove etc.) in water left on low for this purpose in the past. I suppose you could even put them in some cider and set out some cups and a ladle. Good luck! Kathy
Guest guest
I have herd that the smell of a pumpkin pie baking will sell a house the fastest. Guest guest
Sara, Citrusy scents are very uplifting. The Aura Cacia line at the coops is an inexpensive line. Put a diffuser of some sort in each room. Perhaps vary them slightly from one room to another. And I've heard fresh baked cookies or bread is also nice. And of course, decluttered to the max. Move most everything out, just " stage " your home to look like a model home. Look at other homes on the market in your price range or just above your price range, and pay attention to how long the property has been on the market, if it is a dud, try to figure out why and avoid those mistakes. And I'm glad you got the Allium c. It is a great cold remedy. Warmly, beth In a message dated 2/1/2006 4:04:44 P.M. Of course, we want to put it in the best light possible, and that includes...<drum roll please> Aromatherapy! But of course! I want to have a nice, pervasive (but not cloying of course) scent that galvanizes people into making offers on our house! And for more than what it's worth! Yeah! (Am I dreaming? This sounds almost like pheromones for Valentine's Day! lol). I can't decide if I want " energizing " or " calming " or whatever- I want what would work pretty well overall and please more people than less. Any ideas, tips? I would not be around to attend to the scent-making, except perhaps once a day. (We will be at our new house- overlapping, see.) Thus candles are out. My hubby is serious. If you refer our future buyer, my hubby will gladly pay you $200. Email me off list if you are interested in more info to pass on. I am already skating on thin ice here already, with this list being for traditional foods and I'm talking about aromatherapy! And sure, I can give a post-status report on how the aromatherapy worked on selling this house if you want! lol Thanks so much, Sara R. - Eagan [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
