Charlotte,

I don't know if this would be a sign of tort or not. I've never had

to deal with tort, so I really don't have a wealth of information on

it. Hopefully someone here with more experience (!!) will chime

in and help you out here. Have you asked your ped about it? I'd be

interested in hearing what the ped has to say.

Hello

Now I will def not scream at you as I've been in your boat. I know

how hard it can be to do all this stuff on a daily basis, and I

would have to lie if I said I always did it.

I can't stress enough though how important this streching is for

paige. CT I guess told you to do the streches longer. I think what

they really mean is to keep up exersising once the torticollis is

resolved. My daughter had a mild case of tort and we were doing

home streches / PT / OT for about 8months total before they said

that her tort was resolved. I STILL keep a very very close tab on

her position. Sometimes when she sits funny and I see a tilt I

FREAK out, but she is good now.

We did several sets a day with Willow of 5 streches each. So every

session I did 10 streches. When we saw Dr. Blecher (will's cranial

facial doc) he actually told us not only to do one side, but to

strech/strenghten both sides equally so one doesn't overstrech or

get too strong. I fully agree with what he said and we did both

sides for Willow's little neck.

I wish I could tell you that it will get easier, but the fact is

that the streches will only become harder as she grows older and

starts to really dislike what you are doing. You are doing it for

her own good though.

Oh Tummytime allows her to do her own streching as well plus put

EVERYTHING on her bad side. All stimulation. Approach her from her

bad side only so she will alredy know that she has to turn that

way. You will get there.
