Guest guest
Amie: Well I am happy to hear you have at the very least, gotten some answers, even though they aren't the answers you wanted to hear. Could you call this other orthtotic location and ask what type of experience the orthotists have there? I know it's 3 hrs away, but it would be worth the drive if they have experience. Also, you said insurance won't cover the DOCband as they already covered the STARband, but if the STARband is defective & not working, then they should refund your insurance companies money & then possibly would your ins. cover the DOCband? Have you been in contact with the Cranial Tech (actually called Rehab Designs of America, but they do the DOCband in KC)office yet? Are they near you? Sorry, I'm asking you 20 questions!!! LOL One more...what ins. do you have? That is good news though that you have seen improvement!! Have you been taking photos of his head from all angles while in the band? This will give you evidence to compare his head shape now to what it was when you began treatment, it's very helpful, especially if you fear his other side of his head has flattened some. I hope you can get some help with all of this soon....sorry to hear of your troubles.
