Guest guest
, Hi...I just wanted to let you know i can totally relate to you. I haven't gotten the word yet that definitely needs a helmet...he had an appointment on Wednesday to confirm that he will get one. I know he needs one..his head is pretty flat in the back...and slightly flatter on the right side. I will be going to Paramus also..though i'm lucky and live real close. However, i was hoping 's head would get better and he wouldn't need the helmet. He is also 5 months...and i'm so afraid they are going to tell me that he is a severe case...or something....i'm real worried...and i'm upset he needs the helmet. I know it's worth it..and of course i will go through with it...i'm just real upset about it and i feel guilty too. I'm hoping they don't tell me he will need 2 bands..last time we went to the specialist...which was a month ago..he had said that is at a young age so he will probably have to wear the helmet only 6-8 weeks..but i've seen here that it could be more...and also by the time gets the helmet, he will probably be closer to 6 months (he turns 6 months on the 21st). I can totally relate to you being emotional...i already am..and will be such a wreck when i go for the appointment. And i think about his head all the time..i mean..i'm so grateful that he is healthy otherwise and that he is having normal brain growth and things like that..i'm just so afraid he is going to hate the helmet...and i know he'll be too young to remember..and will be grateful i did this to shape his head...but i feel like he will hate me now for making me wear it. I know it's not true..but that's how i feel...and he is such a happy baby..so i'm hoping that won't change... Anyway, sorry this got so long..guess i needed to vent...lol...but i wanted to tell you that i can totally relate to your feelings. I hope the helmet works and works fast for Logan!! She said that he might need TWO bands!! - (mom to 5month old Logan) Lafayette HIll PA

Guest guest
, I'm so sorry that the evaluation and car ride were so difficult for you. I understand how emotional you must feel, but you will make it - I'm sure of it! You will be amazed at how quickly Logan adjusts to the band and when you see that little head getting rounder and rounder you will be so happy with your choice. I know that it is so easy to say that things will be okay and so hard to believe! But, you are doing the right thing for your sweet baby and someday when he is wearing his short little buzz cut you will be so happy that his head is round and his ears are straight! Best wishes and stick with us - we will help you through this!! Marci (Mom to ) Oklahoma
Guest guest
, How close are you to Parsamus? THat is great that you are close. I know how you feel! I look at his head and feel so sad. He is such a beautiful boy. He has no idea the torment I am going through. I am so upset that our first ped just blew off our concern. We noticed the flatness at two months! I look at his old pictures and think " why couldn't we have known THEN??? " *sigh* I am just grateful for the internet or else we'd never have known any of this plagio stuff. - (Logan 5months) Lafayette Hill PA > , > > Hi...I just wanted to let you know i can totally relate to you. > > I haven't gotten the word yet that definitely needs a helmet...he had > an appointment on Wednesday to confirm that he will get one. Guest guest
, My son Braeden was 5 mos when he got his band he just turned 6 mos and we only have 2 weeks lefts....he was Moderate to Severe...we have had some amazing results....remember the earlier you start the better....at first we were told 5 mos on the band and when we are done it will only have been 7 weeks!!! At first I was devistated when he got his band but I have made it fun I decorate it constantly I change the stickers out ever 3-4 days and it makes it fun to give him a new look...it is much harder for us moms to adjust than our little ones...the hardest part was getting him to sleep in it but I followed the adivce of everyone here and low and behold after a few nights we were set...Good Luck to you Trisha Mom of Braeden iamaltobum <iammichelle@...> wrote: Charlotte was very nice.
