Guest guest Posted August 7, 2000 Report Share Posted August 7, 2000 On every fitness and strength group there are numbers of folk who are tryi to lose excess bodyfat, many of whom have tried almost everything under the sun to find a long lasting solution. There are endless diets and almostnothing new of any note has yet emerged from this field. There has been the good old standby of cardiovascular training, but everyone is waiting for a certain, quick fix. Many people are waiting for some laboratory or scientists to dig out a special X file or secret that will change the shaping world, but maybe spending too much time looking in that direction for help is not as helpful as looking within our own ranks. After all, we carry our bodies around with us all the time and they serve as an ongoing private laboratory for our own research, so it would not be surprising if some of you, by trial and error have discovered solutions that work very effectively in the long term. So, are there any of you who have managed to shape yourselves without depending on the costly solutions offered by the professionals and who would like to share your success story with us. Do tell us what worked and what did not work and why you think your ultimate solution suited you. How much cardio work did you do, how much weight training, how much just an increase in normal daily activities, how much by changing your state of mind, etc?
