Being new to trad-foods I really have nothing to swap,

can I just come and try things and buy things and

learn for all of you?

when is it?

where is it?

how much to get in?

who can go?

what will be there?

etc

Everyone's welcome to the swap. The more the merrier!

It would be nice if you bring a potluck dish or something to swap, but

you're certainly not required to bring anything but yourself and a sense

of adventure.

SO, if I have nothing to bring to potluck, what would you recommend I do? when

should I show up? I don't want to be a mooch. are there people from the general

public who will be there or is it mostly just people on this list?

Just show up. Don't worry about it. A great place to meet people in the group.

I am sorry a family function is going to prevent me from coming tomorrow. You

will have an opportunity to buy products and won't have to swap anything.

Gabe,

I'm planning on bringing about 10 pounds of BBQ'd beef in a crockpot. I'm not

going to have time to get to the co-op for some good buns. Could you (or

someone else who is panicking over what they are going to bring for the

potluck) please pick up a package or two of the best quality small buns you

can find and bring them along? It can be our little group effort!

Thanks,

Kathy

honestly, i would not know what is considered the

highest quality buns or where to get them. I can get

whole wheat ones at WholeFoods. But where does one buy

good buns? and what makes them good? i plead

ignorance.

Gabe,

Well...the whole wheat ones at Whole Foods would be fine...organic

ingredients would be good, sourdough would be excellent-but don't know if

you could find any. I would've just gone to Mississippi Market and picked

something. Bottom line for me is...no hydrogenated fat or high fructose corn

syrup! We'll eat what you bring or pass on buns (or eat Kathy P's). It will work

out.

Thanks,

Kathy
