Guest guest
YEAH FOR GRANT!! , it's so great that your seeing improvement!!! Please let us know what your ped says, after seeing Grant's headsicle! > > Well, I took Grant in for his 2nd adjustment and we saw the headsicle for the first time. Wow, was I shocked. His head really does have that trapezoid shape. Yikes! He has a lot of fuzzy blonde hair...and that plus my mommy's loving point of view really skewed it. It really looks bad on the headsicle! The GREAT news is there has been a lot of improvement in the forehead bulging and the back is starting to fill out a bit. Hopefully, the back will fill out a lot over time and start to let the side behind his ear pop out, too. One can hope! After seeing that headsicle, as awful as the first casting was...I am convinced it is a good idea to do an exit casting as well. Especially, if there is any question as to whether or not he'll need a second band when we get to that point (right now they don't think he'll need a second band). They let me take home the headsicle until our next appt. in 2 weeks. Grant's 9 mos. well visit is next week and I CAN'T WAIT to bring it to our ped who blew this off for so long and wrote the prescription primarily to appease a nagging mom. > > > > , Mom to Grant (born 9/26/01) ...in DOCband since 6/14/02 > > > --------------------------------- >
Guest guest
, What a good idea to bring the headsicle to your ped. It ought to be interesting to hear what they have to say! I really wish that we had gotten a headsicle, it would have been really nice to have concrete proof of correction! I'm glad that Grant's head shape is rounding out already, you guys will be done before you know it! Guest guest
: Isn't it just shocking once you see the headsicle?? It's like " was his head really THAT flat?? " - it's the moment of truth as I call it. That's terrific news he's seen improvment already. I bet you can't wait to shove that in your ped's face & say " See, I told you so! " . Thanks for the great update. Debbie abby's mom DOCGrad MI > > Well, I took Grant in for his 2nd adjustment and we saw the headsicle for the first time. Wow, was I shocked.
