Guest guest
Man Trisha how frustrating is that??? Marci probably has the best advice but when she says on a rush I would pinpoint them as to what that means and explain since they have wasted so much of your time already that you want to hear from her by Friday or whatever-date is appropriate. I would direct them from here on out don't let them direct you and if she is uncooperative then talk to her supervisor and so forth. Maybe you want the lawyer to write a letter to the ins comp on your behalf, I am sorry I don't have better advice! beck
Guest guest
Oh crud Trisha! I can't believe what a mess Cigna is, its really disgusting. I really don't have much insurance advice, but I really think your case needs to be brought to the state's attention. I really think you should file a complaint against them, the way they are treating you and giving you the runaround is atrocious! I know you will get plenty of advice from others, try to hang in there! Niki Kaylie & Danny (STAR grads) Phila., PA > > > Ok...as many of you know I am battleing Cigna....and they have given me such a run around it isnt even funny....sooooo....last week I sent in my " Level 2 " appeal (I never had a level 1) pursuant a letter I had gotten from them asking me to do so....well last night I get a letter from them saying they are sorry for all of their inconsistancies but that this lady is handling my case from here on out and to send her my " Level 1 " appeal so I called them this morning and talked to her she said someone from Jons office sent them an e- mail questioning their decision on Pre-Auth . so that was my level 1!!!! OMG....so I had a few words for her...I was nice but she got my point very clearly that this is MY case not the H/R director at Jons office....so NOW she told me to send her everything that she will personally handle it!!! and get this it is now back at Level 1!!!! I told her I wasnt going to wait another 60 days for them to toy with it so she said it will be on a rush...OMG...can someone tell me what I need to do here....if anyone is interested I can e-mail you my letters but I wont send all the back up hell it was 60+ pages....sigh......Trisha (Braedens very mad Momma) > > > > > > > > > For more plagio info
Guest guest
Trisha: I'm so sorry I really can't help you with any of this , I wish I could, but I thankfully never had such insurance troubles. Hope you can get somewhere with all of this. Good luck. Guest guest
Trisha, No one loves Cigna more than you and I!!!! Was the letter you got yesterday an acknowledgement for them having received your appeal, or did it have nothing to do with your appeal packet? On my level 1, about 2 weeks after they received it, they sent an acknowledgement letter, and 30 days after receiving the appeal they sent our denial letter. I think that's standard. They have 30 days to respond to your appeal. If it's a rush, I would think that a week is reasonable, but I would get specifics from them. I expect to hear back on my Level 2 on or around July 30th, and any sooner would be a shock. Ho hum. Good luck dealing with the morons! Gail Gotta Love Cigna!!!! Guest guest
Trisha, Have you filed a complaint with the DOI yet? If not, it sure does sound like you should. I can't believe what a complete mess they have created - it is really very shameful of them. Marci
