Guest guest
, I am very very lucky..i live like 10-15 minutes away from Paramus!! Yea...that's how i feel....like i feel so guilty for not trying to do somethign more. My pediatrician was great...she noticed it right away...but up until the 4th month had said most likely it would round out by itself. By the 4th month...she said..would you mind if i sent you to a specialist? And i was going to ask her to anyway...so i was very happy with her. The specialist said he wanted to wait b/c he was just learning head/neck control...so that's why we waited until now... I just dread going to the casting when we have to...and i wish there was something i could've done. I'm sure if i would've not put him on his back so much..this wouldn't have happened!! But i am a new mother...and no one really told me that this would happen..or could happen...and i've been repositioning for a month..but i think it only got slightly better!! Anyway, how long did they say Logan would have to wear the helmet? You said he might have to get a second one, right? In your opinon, does his head look real flat? 's is flat in the back and slightly more on the right. When he was younger, he favored the right side a lot...but he would look both ways....now he doesn't really favor a side too much..so i don't know if he has torticollis (?) ... Anyway, i'm here if you ever need to talk..i'm sure very soon i will need to...lol. I look at his head and feel so sad. He is such a beautiful boy. He has no idea the torment I am going through. I am so upset that our first ped just blew off our concern. We noticed the flatness at two months! I look at his old pictures and think "why couldn't we have known THEN???" *sigh* I am just grateful for the internet or else we'd never have known any of this plagio stuff. - (Logan 5months) Lafayette Hill PA

Guest guest
I'm a first time mom too! Logan was always on his back those first months. GRrrrrr His right side is flat. He has tort and will need PT. I have to find one nearby. I sure hope they don't cost a lot since I don't think ins will cover it. Charlotte said that by 8 weeks in the band we will know if he needs a second one. I looked at the babies in church today and was so envious of their round heads!! - B > , > > I am very very lucky..i live like 10-15 minutes away from Paramus!! > > Yea...that's how i feel....like i feel so guilty for not trying to do > somethign more. There are at least three sweet, beautiful babies in her class with crooked heads. I'm sure noone but me notices and it makes me feel better that isn't the only one in the world that has a head that is slightly off! You know, and I thought it was just me!!! I seem obsessed with head shapes (I'm sure many can relate and when we started this process a year ago, I noticed 2 babies that looked like they had problems at the church daycare goes to, one with a bulging forehead and the other with a trapezoid head shape. The one that had the bulge looks fine now, although there's a lot of hair covering her forehead, and the other left. I never know if I'm just reading to much into it!
