Guest guest
Yup the stinky helmet syndrome-worse part of the whole ordeal-after casting the alcohol in the sun is the best -- as far as the head goes lots of smelly shampoo and let it sit on the head for the whole bath put it on as soon as they get in and rinse at the last minute. You know the lavender bath stuff?? Well, I used to put that on 's head and let it soak it actually was very effective with the smell. Good luck. beck
Guest guest
What % is the alcohol?? You may try to use the higher % one. Ours was something like 90% and the helmet never smelled. Guest guest
Molly, I have found that the best thing is 91% alcohol and a nice rough washcloth. We've tried it all and that seems to work best. I also use the Loreal kids strong smelling shampoos to help combat the smell. Also, if he's sweating so much maybe you could try dressing him lighter and see if that helps??? , mom to Hannah, DOCband #3 3/30 Cape Cod, Ma > After 1 week, my son's helmet is extremely smelly.
