Guest guest
Hi Carol, Like the Doctors at Greenslopes in Queensland, my Renal Physician here in Sydney also wants to maintain the lowest dose possible for me, and I have had serious ups and downs as we try to find that dosage. I find it interesting that it appears fellow suffers in the US are taking much higher doses of Sprio than we are, and I am interested in why that is occurring. My Renal doctor adds other hypertension drugs such as Atacand and Zanidip to my current 37.5 mg daily dosage of Spiro to control my BP, and it seems to be doing the job, but I still suffer long periods of extreme fatigue, muscle cramping, headaches etc. I am currently on three weeks leave and am happy to report that I am feeling better than I was, but I go back to work on 7/1 and am already getting anxious about returning to that terrible status I was pre-holiday. I am pondering whether a higher dose would be better, and would be interested in hearing what the group thinks. Best wishes to all for the New Year - let's hope things improve.
