Guest guest
Hello, I'm new to the list. A friend told me about the list. I'm interested in discussing aspects of the Long-term Delayed Training Effect ( " Supertraining " Siff & Verkhoshansky, 1999, Ch 6.8) and its practical application to explosive sporting events (sprinting, hurdling, jumping, etc). I also was wondering if anyone knew of any good lifting videotapes that do a good job of demonstrating the lifts and their variations discussed in section 8.4.2 of " Supertraining. Any help would be appreciated. Looking forward to the discussions. Kebba Tolbert Men's and Women's Jumps & Multis Coach Syracuse University Track & Field kebba_t@... I don't have my copy of Supertraining on hand, but if you want to learn the various Olympic lifts and assistance exercises, consider The Weightlifting Encyclopedia Video Companion, available at http://www.wlinfo.com. The Weightlifting Encyclopedia book is quite verbose and dry, but the video's quite straightforward. Matt Madsen
