Guest guest
, I too would like to apologize for not resonding to you quicker- I did download and view the pic, but honestly thought I had responded to you- when I probably didn't! I think looks moderate, looks maybe like brachycephaly (total flat across the back- as opposed to just one side- does this sound right?). I feel that would benefit greatly from a helmet- and although that may not be what you want to hear, at 10 or 11 months old I would hate for you to say, I wish we would have started earlier. The key to less time in the band, and optimum results, is to start as early as possible. It seems cumbersome and uncomfortable, but it really did not bother my son, and he wore a DOC band for 3 months, with excellent results. I will tell you that my friend has a son that is now just over 2 with brachy, and it has not rounded out one bit. They have serious regrets for not listening to their instincts and following the advice of their Doctor. My best advice to you is to educate yourself on plagio- the more you know, the quicker you will be able to gauge your situation and come to terms with a decision to band (or not), regardless of what a Doctor advises. I think you can see excellent results for at his age. Please keep us posted- and sorry it took a jolt to wake me up- there are so many emails and so little time! Good luck and please don't hesitate to post an update- we'll be here for you I promise! ' Mom
