Hi Kate,

I don't think you were rude or inconsiderate!! I think the other lady

was very rude and inconsiderate!! You asked a legitimate question.

You didn't point it out and stare. I'm sorry that you encountered a

total jerk!!!

That woman needs to get a grip. It sounds like you asked very

politely. For the 8 and a half months was in a helmet I always

appreciated the people who asked why he was in the helmet. I'd

rather have someone ask than just stare. I had a woman come running

up to me one day while was in a helmet just to share with me

that her son had been in two DOCbands for 10 months previously. I

was absolutely thrilled to meet her and hear of her son's

experience. I actually decided to research the band when a woman

commented on 's head shape at a breastfeeding support group. She

told me don't listen to my pediatrician, get your child help now. At

first I was a little embarrassed, and then deeply grateful for her

comments.

Geez Kate!

I'm soo sorry this woman was SO unnecessarily rude to you. You

approached the situation perfectly, so don't feel like you were

wrong! My gosh, I'm shocked she was so rude....I was soo relieved

when people came up to me & asked what Abby's helmet was for & they

actualy kinda knew about plagio....That woman needed a serious butt

kickin! Let me at her!

Kate-

You can shop at my mall anytime and ask me about our helmet. I don't

think you were rude at all, if anything you were sincere, gracious,

and understanding to her needs. I have also had some weird

expriences with people, but never anything like that. Don't feel bad

most moms would love to tell you about the helmet instead of have the

stares and the under the breath comments that of course we do hear.

Take care and keep us posted about your daughter

Kate,

I can't believe how rude that woman was to you! I don't think you

need to change your approach to people at all. It sounds like you

didn't everything politely. She was in desparate need of a pantie

unbunching! And for her to swear at you, in front of her child,

shows a total lack of class. Don't worry about it if you offended

her, and please don't hesitate to ask people in the future. The

majority of the people out there are gracious!
