and ann~

I have a question do either one of you think that the leg getting stuck thing is tort related? Grace has been working on crawling for the last few weeks. She started with the getting up on her hands and knees and rocking and then she did the backwards crawling thing and the last week she has been going forward. She really gets some momentum going but then sometimes her leg will get stuck under her like you both described? She is my first baby so I did not know if that was normal or not? Mostly she just wants to skip crawling and pull herself up and walk along. She is obsessed with standing and cruising. So I couldn't figure out if the leg stuck thing was because she is trying to sort of walk crawl? Just wondered? Of course now every little thing I wonder if it is tort related or just normal baby stuff!! and Grace (almost 10 months)

Thanks for the reply. It is so hard for me to know those little things since she is the first baby for us. And since tort and plagio has been so predominant in our home from the time she was 2 1/2 months old I always worry that it is something related to that! It is nice to have the advice of people who have been through this stuff before :)

Yes, part of me won't mind if she waits a few more months to take off walking. It all goes so fast now I know why people said to cherish the time when she was a small little bundle that just slept in my arms.

These crawling posts really help put me at ease. Grant is 9 months 1 week and still only rocks on all fours and resorts to combat crawling to get around.

didn't start to "combat crawl" until he was about 9 mos. old. He crawled (on all fours) when he was about 10 mos. He "cruised" at 12 mos. and walked alone at 13 mos. Now at 17 mos. he is RUNNING all over the place!!! I cannot keep up with him!!!!
