My daughter developed severe swelling and an abscessed tooth yesterday. We

were in the ER twice. The second time they admitted her and started IV

morphine and antibiotics. Worried about a possible bacterial infection in

her head. I told the doctor and nurse that she can't have wheat and dairy

several times. (I didn't tell them that she was casein/gluten free for 20

years until I learned about sprouted grains and raw dairy because she still

can't have hospital bread or milk.)

The very sweet nurse told me she had already entered it in the computer.

Then asked my daughter if she would like some cookies and ice cream!!!! Good

thing I was there.

I came home at dawn and e-mailed Will for his dentists name and number. His

name is Tom Austin and he was terrific and agreed to see my girl today on

short notice and we are new patients. Then I picked up my daughter and the

hospital gave me a script for antibiotics that I didn't need because they

had given me one the day before. I asked if she would need something for

pain and they said no, she was pain free. They had just disconnected the IV

about a half hour before I got there.

By the time we got in to see Dr. Austin, she was crying and in severe pain.

He did a very good eval within the limits of her pain. Got everything

managed and we return again Thursday. I was impressed with how friendly and

competent he is. She is home now, relaxed and doing better. If you need a

good dentist, I was one relieved mom after I saw him.
