If you are allergic to mercury (thimerasol) you can opt out. When I

contacted the MN Dept of Health that is what I was told. They could not

find a manufacturer that did not use it. Therefore I could not take the

test. Instead they required a chest x-ray. Being I do not have a doctor I

would need to go to a urgent care, hospital or Clinic and begin as a new

patient, which involves additional costs. A chiropractor can not take an

x-ray of organs only structure. But a thoracic x-ray shows lungs.

A chiro can take a chest film. You could then have it read by a

hospital radiologist if needed by your employers. Or you could even be

refered to a radiology center just for the film and have it read there

by a DC or a MD.
