Guest guest
Lora, I'm sorry that the casting was so difficult. I never took into consideration how much harder it might be with an older child. Kids might be small, but they sure are tough fighters! Let us know when Ciara gets her band. I hope things go much easier from here on out. Guest guest
Lora: Well I'm glad the hard part is done & over with. I can imagine how upset Ciara got during the casting, the older they are, the more difficult it becomes. Let us know when her band is in. BTW, I was so bummed your twins didn't make it into People Magazines Triplets Convention article They were robbed!! Debbie Abby's mom DOCGrad MI > They said we should have the band in two weeks. Guest guest
Hi Lora: I know it is hard, and it must be harder with a baby that is older, but try to think ahead to when she's teen, and all concerned about every little blemish, and how you can proudly tell her that you love her SO MUCH that you did everything you could for her, including the helmet. Think of how awful it would be to have to tell a teen that we didn't do anything for them because it was too hard for us to go through it. These thoughts are what kept and still keep me going to every appointment, every casting, keep the helmet on even in hot weather, etc. It is not easy, but the alternative is no picnic either. Hang in there, and the good news is the hardest part is over! Also, try and keep a postive attitude about the helmet. Call it " pretty " . Say you love it. The attitude will rub off on your daughter and hopefully will make it easier for her if she sees YOU love it. Good luck, , Rhiannon's mom > They said we should have the band in two weeks.
