Guest guest
Hi everyone, Cole had an adjustment to his band on Thursday. Since then, he has started sweating again (he had adjusted well after the first week and completely stopped, and the weather has been really nice and cool here for the past few days... it seems very strange that he would start sweating again. He hasn't been running a fever or acting sick.) Any thoughts? I've also noticed that the velcro strap is quite dirty on his band, and I was wondering what the best way to clean that is? Thanks! Guest guest
Kia This is COles 2nd week in the band? Am I correct on that? It isnt uncommen for the babies to off and on sweat for the first couple of weeks as there bodies are adjusting to the band. Mya was sweating real bad the first week and then it seemed to taper off and then get real bad again and then taper off again. But after a couple weeks she was much better but then the weather started to change and become more hot and the sweating started so Cranial Tech gave me a name of a powder to rub inside the band to help control the sweating. Mya still sweats anytime we leave the house because its like 100 degrees here but the powder helps sooo much. Do you have a DOC band? I can tell you the name of the powder if you like just let me know. I dont have it sitting right in front of me at the moment. Good luck CHristi mom to MYA (DOC band 3/6/02) > Hi everyone, > > Cole had an adjustment to his band on Thursday. Guest guest
Kia: Well Christi's excellent reply took the words right out of my mouth! I wouldn't worry much about it. Abby would sweat a lot some days, and none the others, don't know why either! Hang in there! Debbie Abby's mom DOCGrad MI > > Hi everyone, > > > > Cole had an adjustment to his band on Thursday. Guest guest
Kia, I agree witht he responses that you have gotten so far. It does take a few weeks for your baby to adjust to the band, so despite any cool weather, they will still be sweaty. As far as the strap being dirty, try using Shout Wipes Stain Remover to clean it off. Niki Kaylie & Danny (STAR grads) Phila., PA > Hi everyone, > > Cole had an adjustment to his band on Thursday. Kia, We tried alcohol on the outside of the strap as well, and it did pick up some of the dirt but it wasn't spotless for sure. Don't know why the sweat would start picking up again, just try to keep him as cool as possible, light clothing, lots of a/c, fans, and barefoot is best as much as you can. Good luck!
