Love Medicine and Miracles

I had a powerful experience with a friend and co-worker who has cancer. She

came in my office Wednesday and started to cry. She shared that she's been

in denial and thought the cancer treatments were going to fix everything.

I'd told her to read Bernie Siegel's books and she had. His books changed

her life.

She's come to see that she was feeling " stuck " in her life before she was

diagnosed. Cancer was something the doctor would take care of. She didn't

want to think about it. The books helped her decide that it was her life and

she had to get involved in her own healing plan.

They also helped her see cancer in a different way. She now feels she is on

a journey with herself and God. It's frightening at times, but it also is

the most authentic experience she has ever had. She is learning to use her

intuition, pray, trust her chiropractor, eat healthy food, invite

inspiration in her life. She is going to purchase Bernie's visualization

tapes as a part of her plan. She's started Essiac tea, bought the

Nourishing Traditions book, watching Jerry's tape.

Another thing she loved about the books is the hope they offer. If someone

tells you that you only have a 40% chance of survival, it's very depressing.

Depression hurts the immune system. She has decided to have an adventure on

this journey. She asked me to be a part of her hope plan.

I think she just had her first miracle. She feels like she had an awakening.

She is blooming,growing. I don't have a crystal ball to say if she will

recover or not. I won't tell her what percentage of hope she should have. I

do know she is feeling the best she has felt in a very long time. She is

making each day count. She is taking charge of her life.
