Thanks for asking Debbie! Our appointment was great! We ended up not

recasting, because her adjustment did WONDERS! I couldn't believe it,

but it has almost stopped shifting. She actually had to adjust, so

that it will move (within normal ranges). IF in a week we are still

having any troubles we will re-cast, and go from there. Curently

ortho america (they make the helmets, and store the castings) is

investigating, because I am not the only one with this problem. From

what we know there are atleast four others who are experiencing this

same problem, and none were noticed untill I brought attention to it.

I am SO glad everyone shared there expertise, and knowledge with me.

They tried to explain the whole process of making the helmets, and

how the plastic could have warped/etc.. Since I am not into all that

enginering I didn't really understand, so I have to leave it too the

experts! We are suspecting someone new, or a new air current has

invaded the space where they make the helmets? Hopefully, that will

make sense to those of you who understand the process of makeing the

STAR band? Anyways, in the next few days we will have an answer, and

still possibly a new band! Atleast that is what we are pushing for!

The walker is a life saver!! That is if the child loves being in it,

and my guys do! From now on I say it IS worth dragging it along for

long appointments, because it sure did keep him entertained. Of

course in the perfect position to have his head messed with too, but

there is a downfall... It makes them mobile, but then again he still

wiggles sitting on the table!

Amie,

Sounds like you are really happy with this new ortho! I'm so glad

that she was able to save the current band,I hope that's all it

takes. I'm also very happy to hear that Orthomerica is investigating

so that hopefully no one else will have to go through this. Keep us

posted!

Great Amie:

I'm VERY happy & relieved to hear your good update. It sounds like

they've addressed the issue and have hopefully resolved them. You

probably helped a lot of parents & plagio babies if Orthomerica had

other stories similar to yours & Dakota's. Hopefully they'll correct

the problem right away.

I'm glad the walker helped a ton! That really was a great idea :)

Keep us updated, best of luck!

Amie,

Sounds like your ortho is on top of things - that's great! I'm glad the

walker idea worked - hopefully that idea will be of assistance to others

along the line.

Let us know if the band continues to fit right!
