Guest guest
, My son had a rough labor as well. I was low on amniotic fluid, I was two weeks late, and he wasn't moving much. They induced me and I ended up pushing for four hours with him. He was "sunny-side up," not breech but with his face facing up instead of towards my spine. For some reason it makes it difficult for them to come out that way. They tried to turn him several times, but he didn't want to budge. They got him out finally with forceps, although they were 10 seconds away from a C-section. Now I wish they had done the C-section. had the ridging you describe, had a CT scan right before he turned 1, and he didn't have craniosynostosis. His ridging has pretty much disappeared, or I don't notice it with his hair. When I feel his head though I don't feel it as much anymore. However, don't let that deter you from checking things out thoroughly. Be rough with your ped. Demand a referral. A lot of these doctors are so nonchalant about our babies' conditions, it makes me sick. I would tell him that you are going to get the referral either from him or if you have to change doctors to get one, that's what you'll do. Even if he rolls his eyes and shakes his head while writing it, at least you'll get it. You know your child better than anyone and you know what's best.
