Guest guest
Sheila, Have you tried your state's early intervention program, it would cover children birth to 3 years old. At 3 years old children would be covered by the school district. Here in northern Illinois for early intervention you would go through Child and Family Connections. I needed this program for my 2nd child for verbal apraxia and sensory integration disorder. They even came to my house for therapy. Your state will have a program but they may not advertise it. If your pediatrician doesn't how about it, call your school district or the local heath department or if you need to your state capital at get the number for early intervention. By law your state must have an early intervention program. I few years ago Illinois was sued for not providing adequate care for birth to 3 years of age; they had a three party watching them to make sure they were caring for our youngest citizens. Good Luck, Heidi (mother of 6, 4 and 3 ½ months)
