Guest guest
Just a quick note to ask a bit of advice. My son stephen had surgery for his plagio on June 1, 2001. Then he had 7 cavaties filled and 4 steel crowns and the 4 front teeth pulled. Due to the fact that his teeth were crowded when his jaw was out of alignment. This was done ASpril 3, 2002. Well, now we are seeing a pediatric Opthamologist. They have informed me he has esotropia. Does anyone know more about this subject????????I feel like am going to scream and needed to vent. So once again I am here typing to all of you for guidance and support. I got more information from this group and my own reserch then I did from any doctors in the past. All advice and comments are appreciated. Hope to here from everyone soon. NEW E-Mail Again Pat-Debi-Jon-Stevo@... or Permanant one debiromero@... Guest guest
Debi: SO sorry to read of this I can't remember ever hearing the term " esotropia " before, but I have heard of plagio babies/toddlers being seen by an opthamologist to make sure all is ok with the child's eyes and that the plagio has not affected their vision at all. Let me search the archives, if I turn anything up, I'll be sure to let you know. I didn't know had all that dental work done on top of his plagio surgery Debbie Abby's mom DOCGrad MI > Just a quick note to ask a bit of advice. Guest guest
Debi, I really wish that I had some advice or knowledge regarding esotropia, but I never heard of it until today. I just have to say that I am totally amazed that doctors and insurance industries will swear up and down that plagio is a purely cosmetic problem, when in cases such as yours, its obvious that plagio is so much more than that. I am really sorry to hear that still isn't having any easy time of this, I was hoping that it would all be behind him after he had his surgery. As always, we are here for you whenever you need us to be! Hang in there, and let us know what you find out! Niki Kaylie & Danny (STAR grads) Phila., PA > Just a quick note to ask a bit of advice. Guest guest
Hi Debi, Just wanted to welcome you to the group- I'm sorry I can't help you with estropia, looks like Jill really came through for you with some more details on it. It almost sounds like a lazy eye my friend has which was controlled with glasses, and she can control the movement as well. Good luck to you all in learning more about it- I hope the internet can do as much for you on this topic as it has been doing for plagio! Keep us posted on your little man !
