Sheila,

Do you have an HMO? If you do...then the insurance (as far as I know) will not cover it without a referral. They can deny you for not having that referral. I don't have an HMO...but i do know that could happen and i would hate to see you get denied.

Is there a way you can switch pediatrician's...as soon as possible...explain the situation to them..and have them give you a referral? I know it could take a little while..but it may be worth it.

I just can't believe the nerve of that nurse at your pediatrician's office..and i don't blame you for not going back. Maybe you can call tomorrow and try to speak to the pediatrician instead. Maybe she will give you the referral..but i would also tell her how that nurse talked to you.

I hope that things work out...let us know what happens....

Sheila,

Holy cow!!!!!!!!!! I'm so pissed right now for you that I can feel my blood

pressure going up. Oh I'd love to get ahold of that nurse and add my two cents

and then I'd like to punch her right in the nose! HOW DARE SHE CALL YOU A

HYPOCHONDRIAC!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot believe her complete and total $itchy

attitude. She really has her nerve. I hope you can find a new ped right away

that has support that staff that is just that.....supportive!!!!

I'm glad that you were approved for the loan and can continue with insurance.

That really is good news. I'm also glad that the specialist will see you even

without the referral. Let us know how that goes!

>this dr. and clinic ARE providers for our insurance. Woo hoo! They also

>told me the CranioCap would be covered 90%...Woo hoo again! They said I

Hi Sheila:

It's , Rhiannon's mom again. YOu know, you can call the

Attorney General's office and issue a complaint. So what if you

don't know the nurse's name- just give your Ped's office name and let

the state take care of it. This is patient abuse, and should not be

tolerated. The Ped can deal with the investigation, and you can be

rest assured they will try to find out who the nurse or receptionist

was that said those things to you so they can assure the state that

the proper diciplinary actions have been taken.

Mike Hatch's office is working on the insurance/medical issues.

Good luck, and go get them!
