Dr. Grim and Members,

On the 24th December the Endo gave me the result of the recent MRI scan.

" MR ADRENALS: There has been a previous left adrenalectomy. The

right adrenal appears intact and contains a 1cm nodule which shows some

signal loss on T1 opposed phase imaging, suggesting a lipid rich

adenoma. " He also suggested that I ought to have Hydrocortisone

tablets available as my cortisol reserves a little below normal. I have

updated 's Story to include this information and to correct the

fact that it was my left adrenal gland that was removed way back in 1977

and not my right.

Today at the local GP confirmed the latest blood results from the test

taken on 24th December clinic appointment with the Endo. Here are the

results:

Sodium 138 mmol/L (135 - 144)

Potassium 3.9 mmol/L (3.5 - 5.2)

Total CO2 28.1 mmol/L (21 - 30)

Chloride 104 mmol/L (96 - 114)

Urea 5.6 mmol/L (2.4 - 6.8)

Creatinine 113 mmol/L (66 - 102)

Calc GFR 62 ml/min/1.732 (90 - 500)

So, all that remains is to say that my current average of three readings

taken at 11.00am one hour after getting out of bed was 120 / 75 and

Pulse 70. Medication: 30mg of Ennalapril (20mg in the morning, 10mg at

night) and 100mg of Spironalactone. Having been on 50mg of Spiro prior

to my October Short Synacthen Test, ideally I would like to try Spiro at

75mg to see if things hold up the same.
