Guest guest
Anastasia, I agree with you. The problem in Suffolk County is, there is only one pediatric neurosurgeon. He is anti-band. I'm sure all the pediatricians are referring plagio babies to him and he won't even consider banding a baby. He went so far as to quote me a plagio study that doesn't even exist!! I think talking to pregnant women is a great place to start. I wish someone would of educated me about tort and plagio, while I was prengant! is my fifth child and I never heard of tort or plagio, before she got them! All I can hope for is that they listen. > > > I think you are right on in the need to inform. However, as an educational consultant I have learned that you need to target the right audience or else you'll be exhausted before you begin. Have you tried contacting the " association " of pediatrician or maybe even the medical schools? Two important arenas that you can start with. Maybe even offer a free video to hospitals so that mothers who give birth can learn about this condition before they leave the hospital. There are so many free mailings that would probably love to do a write up on this. As a mother of three, I was lucky enough to have a pediatrician who jumped on it right away and sent me to a Neuro. Other moms who may not catch it in time need to be immersed with info on how to prevent this if possible. Just some thoughts. Good luck. > Anastasia > > > > --------------------------------- >
